and your the only oneWhat to do when multiple eye-witnesses give false information concerning a crime?
Find a good lawyer to poke holes in their testimony. The odds are, if they are giving false information, then there are inconsistencies in their statements (written) and statements they will make on the stand. What to do when multiple eye-witnesses give false information concerning a crime?
If all the multiple eye-witnesses stories were the same, then stop lying.
1. Ask an attorney.
2. See if there are surveillance cameras where the crime took place, and ask the attorney to subp艙na the video recordings.
3. Hire a private investigator to find more witnesses.
4. If the case goes to trial, the attorney might try to establish that the witness testimony contradicts any forensic evidence there may be. If the witnesses are out-and-out lying, the attorney may be able to reveal this on cross-examination.
5. There are published psychological studies of the factors that affect eyewitness recall. Ask the attorney about these, and find out whether the authors of any of these studies might be available to give expert testimony.
Eyewitness accounts are usually not very accurate. This is especially true in terms of traffic crashes. But if you are being charged with a crime an attorney can be an invaluable source of information, but you have to work with him or her and they have to be prepared to do some investigating on their own.
