my former employer is giving negative and false information. regarding my employment. I have been reciving negative referances and I beleive there is alot of false information being given out regarding me. What can I do and how do I go about it? I also have lots of dirt on them regarding false information on state and federal contracts. I have not pursued these because I wanted a clean break . I think it is not only time to ';start making calls and getting them in hot water'; but also time to start mending your damaged reputation. Slander is illegal, and you should hire a lawyer if need be to make it stop.My former employer is giving negative and false information?
I'd try calmly talking to them first. Call 'em up, make a meeting with them, have them explain these negative references. If it looks like they aren't going to budge, then I'd start putting them in hot water.
