What happens if travel agents give you false information?

e.g. offer you to a cold destintion in the summer when you want a summer sun holidayWhat happens if travel agents give you false information?
Being a travel agent myself, I would say that you had better find a new agent. A good agent will listen to what you have to say and take into consideration the activities, climate, and atmosphere you are looking for. Now, if you have already gone on a vacation and it was not what the agent promised it would be, then I would suggest going to the agency and talking with the agent/owner of the agency. Unfortunately, it is a past trip and it isn't like a TV that you can return if it doesn't do what is promised. If you go to a destination that is typically warm and they happen to have a cold snap while you are there - that is just life. No one can control mother nature. However, if you are asking for The Florida Keys or Antigua and your agent is suggesting Alaska, well I would say your best interest is not at heart and find a new consultant. If this is a friend/aquaintance, then just be firm with them about what you are wanting. It is there job to deliver a vacation that meets your requests. What happens if travel agents give you false information?
You must be prety poor in your world geography to get sold a place that you thought would be hot and it ended up being cold, what did he/she say this is a little known secert welcome to hot and sunny antartica. Or what welcome to africe the place were no one sweats
You just got taken if you listened to him. If this information was verbal and it cost you in some way to bad because it's your word against his. But if it was in writing then you can sue.
i would imagine that eventually people would start going to a travel agent who was competent?
send them to jail , in chains , they deserve it ! How dare they !!
