If there is false nutrition information on a sign at a supermarket, can i take a sharpie an correct it?

鈾?

they were making an unhealthy product sound healthy by a play on words. If there is false nutrition information on a sign at a supermarket, can i take a sharpie an correct it?
That would be defacing private property I imagine...they'd probably kick you out or try to make you buy it. You might be able to sue the company though, like the vegetarians who got 10 million dollars from McDonald's when they discovered that the fries were cooked in beef tallow. McDonald's had previously implied that the fries were fine for vegetarians. If there is false nutrition information on a sign at a supermarket, can i take a sharpie an correct it?
The sign may be unethical, but it may not be illegal. You'd have to report it to probably the State Agricultural Department for them to look into. If you walk into the store and deface the sign, no matter how noble your intent, you can be arrested and charged with defacing private property.
i wouldn't advise you to do something like that. you might get in trouble for vandalism. and it might cause an embarassing scene when the manager throws you out of the store.

instead, send an email(a written letter would be even better) to the store's main office detailing what you saw. then do the same thing (letter/email) to the company that makes the advertised product.
No, hands off. Contact the Producer of the item and state your findings.
