What if the party filed a police report with incorrect/false information and their witness also signed?

If an individual drove to the innocent parties residence and assaulted them then made a false police report of the location and a witness that actually saw the assault and where it really took place also signed and agreed to be witness to the false police report, what can/should be done in TexasWhat if the party filed a police report with incorrect/false information and their witness also signed?
There are two treatment to your inquiry, my friend.

The terms ';incorrect information'; and ';false information'; are two different concepts.

1. If it is incorrect information, it is presumably that there is negligence, accident or misappreciation of facts involved. Most likely, Civil Actions are to be instituted in the absence of criminal intent.

2. If it is false information, it is presumably that there is fraud, deceit or malice involved that would warrant a criminal action for an offense committed. The name of an offense differs in every country. In some jurisdiction, they call it falsification, alteration of public records..et.c.,etc...What if the party filed a police report with incorrect/false information and their witness also signed?
Prove that the complaint is wrong and ask for apology.
