I have a warrent for giving false information on a brake in. is it going to show on my background check?

The police assumed that i was giving false info. The break in was in my house. How can i have a warrent for an assumption. I just want to know if anyone knew if it will show on my criminal background check. Ive never been locked up ive had a few tickets that are now out of the way.I have a warrent for giving false information on a brake in. is it going to show on my background check?
The police do not issue a warrant based on an assumption. If you were not charged with a crime you do not have a warrant outstanding. If they had any proof that you were lying you would have been notified and either arrested or allowed to amend your complaint.

Any outstanding warrants would definitely show up on a background check, that is what they are for. But if you have one, it is not for this.I have a warrent for giving false information on a brake in. is it going to show on my background check?
I think it will, but I think most employers treat it on a case to case basis. I think a few states have different laws, but I know where I am at, on most job applications, it will say that even if you were at one time convicted of a felony (and I'm not sure if giving false info is a felony or a misdemeanor), it will not necessarily bar you from employment and it gives you a space to explain the circumstances. Any minor traffic offenses and such it tells you it's not even necessary to mention. If you weren't convicted, I think you might be ok, but if they ask, just be honest, because they can easily find out the truth.

BTW, I am assuming you might mean for employment...but still regardless, just be honest and explain if you have to.
How would you know that a warrant for your arrest has been issued? In most cases, if the police feel that your break-in story is not entirely believable, they will do a minimal investigation and eventually drop the case.

Go down to the local precinct and make sure your record is clean. A warrant would show up on a background check and could cost you a job.
it sure will show up.And the police are given warrants on ';assumption';,they have proof that you lied and in doing so you hindered the investigation.Lying to an officer of the court(police officer) is not taken lightly.im guessing you lied in order to obtain a false insurance claim?
If the cops think your trying to pull a fast one, they dont let you go until they get proof of who you are, and if you weren't arrested, how'd you get the warrent? Judges give out warrents, not cops, and judges don't issue warrents on an assumption
Yes as long as they include a wants and warrants check a simple criminal search may not pull it but a wants and warrants search would: http://www.efindoutthetruth.com/Nationwi鈥?/a>
uh...that's kind of the point of a background check. Call the local police and get it resolved
