Who is more to blame for our present situation in Iraq: Bush or the people who have him false information?

Bush gave the order to invade Iraq based on certain assumptions that were incorrect.





Now hundreds of thousands are dead - many of them innocent people. Iraq will take decades (at the very least) to become a normal society again. And the USA has no good exit strategy in the region.





So who is to blame?Who is more to blame for our present situation in Iraq: Bush or the people who have him false information?
The politicians, for playing politics with the lives of our soldiers are Iraqi civilians.Who is more to blame for our present situation in Iraq: Bush or the people who have him false information?
Well, we can start off with Saddam Huessien...He lied for twelve years about his WMD, and we still don't know what he really did with them (any disarmament was supposed to be verified by the UN; it never was nor did he allow it to be).


After that, the blame lies in intelligence gathering: not enough agents fluent in Arabic or Persian or Farci or any of those languages...lacking such agents makes gathering accurate information difficult at best.


If you are going to blame a Bush, make it President Bush #41, or the one before President Clinton. We could have dealt with this twelve years before we did and it might be over now: we'll never know.


I think, however, given the current situation, it is more prudent to ask what to do next as opposed to trying to lay blame. It's much more constructive.
Both are to blame. I'm sure world leaders in situations similar to 9/11 are bombarded with potentially incorrect information, it is their job to act on it. Bush rather quickly decided that war was the best option, most of the country agreed on Afghanistan, about half agreed on Iraq, and now most are against Iraq in hindsight.





I bet with peace and prosperity Iraq can get back on its feet in 10 years, despite how bad conditions can be, there economy is growing faster than ours.

The fact is some people did provide the right information. The administration didn't want to hear it.





The high military personnel who warned the Bush administration Iraq would not be a walk in the park were systematically fired. Reports stating there was no connexion between Iraq and 9/11 were promptly returned with the mention wrong answer. CIA personnel were pressured to give the Oval Office the answers it wanted to hear.





Iraq was no mistake.
Don't you know? Bush, Cheney and Rove all have an office in Haliburton One, a 200 story impenetrable fortress in ANWR, where they oversee all evil plots to destroy the world for everyone. They invested in these poor, innocent individuals for their cabinets who were completely unaware that they were being played for pawns. GW and KKKarl stayed up late one night hand-making power point presentations to make a point for killing thousands of innocent people for pleasure (they had GTA4 years ago, and have obviously grown bored).





The three of them actually only feed on oil...not food or water, just sweet crude. So ultimately, after tearing a larger hole in the ozone layers via Reagan's Star Wars program and chemtrails, the added heat will hasten the decomposition of the biological matter that makes up fossil fuels.





Really, this is all just about an insatiable appetite for oil...literally.
well, there was quite of bit of information stating the exact opposite of what our intelligence agency was reportedly telling us.....





the UN, the weapons inspectors, Joe Wilson, etc....all unequivocally stated there was not enough evidence or threat to attack.





I am fairly comfortable saying it was a group effort, but the buck stops at the presidency and he ultimately carries most of the blame....





He chose to not give creedence to information that was contradictory to Iraq being a threat.....

Bush, he's the President. It is his fault that he did not select competent people to provide him with needed information in the first place. If I went to work and screwed up and blamed it on a co-worker not giving me correct information, who would get written up or fired? Me or the co-worker? Me, because it would have been my responsibility to verify all and any information that would have helped me to properly do my job.
So you want me to jump on the Bash Bush like just about everyone one else. I say it was the intelligence community. How many months did Saddam keep the U.N. out from checking their Nuclear sites. They had Plenty of time to move them to Iran, Palestine or anywhere in that vast area. Saddam was a mean Dictator who killed men, women and children. He is the one that blew up his country building motes and filling them with oil. His sons were also vicious people. The people now are free to go to school. Women can walk the streets and not fear for their lives.


So you people can blame whoever you want but if you looked at it from a humanitarian plus a terrorism prevention plan then you might just think well if we hadn't what would those terrorist have by now....NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
How long does it take to prove you are trying to help its citizens? Many generations of Saddam have been conditioned to disbelieve anything we Americans try to do. It is working, did you know that one battalion of Iraqi military not only sent money to the Katrina disaster they sent money to California to help during last years fires? Look at the Rev. Wright, he still thinks that there has been no changes for now citizens that were slaves in this country since the Civil War. How long does it take?
It was not the intelligence about invading, it was the intelligence about how long it would take. Bush was always for invading Iraq, so he would say anything to that end. Where it messed up was how long it would take for the flowers an cheers of


liberation!

Well the buck does stop at the top dogs desk. So he may have made his decision based on others advice but ultimately its his decision to make
