It is my understanding that all of the titles you've mentioned have
been either influenced by (such as Liber 777) or written by Aleister
Crowley.
Most of Liber 777 is a table of correspondences in which each item
was assigned a reference to a particular Sephroth or Path on the
';Tree of Life';. A more comprehensive version has been published (see
';source'; below). While these may be considered ';subjective';...they
are an effort at organizing or categorizing the World.
The Book of Thoth would seem to be Crowley's means of linking
particular associations he had with various Atu in the Tarot. Thus they
are to be considered Crowley's Interpretation and some correlations
may be ';open to debate';.
Magick In Theory and Practice is a training or ';introductory'; text and
does not include Numerological Correspondences that are normally
given during classes involving this by the Ordo Templi Orientis.
There is no ';bait and switch'; in any of this that I'm aware of. But they
(by stint of the omission of Numerological Correspondences) may be
considered incomplete.
If you are looking for ';bait and switch';...perhaps you should get a
copy of Necronomicon by Simon (along with a copy of The
Necronomicon Files by Daniel Harms and John Wisdon Gonce III,
which details the whole sordid history of this ';text';)..
