What statement is true or false, Undeniable, unreliable information?

What is that one statement or comment that you are tired of hearing about or wonder where in the hell do they get their information regard people of the LGBT community? I mean beside the obvious one, ie: they are all molesters or were molested as children, can't have children, men wanting to be women and women wanting to be men, you're heard them. What one grates your nerves? What statement is true or false, Undeniable, unreliable information?
The one that just because I'm gay and some tough guy taunts me that I'm going to back down and cower in a corner. Ha! Fat chance. Last time I hit some guy he didn't get up until after the ambulance came. What statement is true or false, Undeniable, unreliable information?
Statistically, the vast majority of paedophiles are otherwise heterosexual. And based on my years on the gay scene it is very unusual to find a homosexual who had a good relationship with their father. Their father is in most cases absent, abusive, or is not as emotionally respected or identified with as the mother. Most paedophiles do learn their behaviour as a child from an adult male, usually someone who holds a position of respect to the victim, this can be anyone, school teachers, parents, doctors, and apparently lots of members of the clergy. Some paedophiles convince themselves that because the child they are molesting is male then they are just gay and so they feel comfortable socialising in the gay community, and are able to convince themselves that they just ';like them young'; Sick but true.
The one where everyone thinks that you have to be either exclusively straight or gay, otherwise you're a whore or a man-slut.

Even people within the community keep saying that. I keep getting so much blowback about being bi. People think i get ';sticked'; all the time and that i'm always sleeping with random men and have deseases or whatnot. Or that I'll never be happy with just one sex.

Actually I'm quite monogamous and don't even have sex when I'm not in a relationship. I've never had a ';hookup';, and I'm sure I'm less ';slutty'; than most les girls.

Or I'll automatically go for guys over girls because I'm a pathetic conformist who would ditch someone I was in love with just because of what other people think.

This one particularly bothers me, because it's a prejudice coming from WITHIN the community, and not only from outside.
Bad relationship with father, overbearing mother.

Someone tried to use the bad relationship with father one on me, So I kept asking asenine question such as! ';So..I wanna ***** my father?, So...I wanna kiss my father?, So..I wanna live with my father, So...I wanna marry my father?!'; You get the picture %26gt;_%26gt;
the one about how we are all possessed by demons.

i mean, really. not in any christian text does it state anything about gay people being possessed (actually not really gay people, but that's not the point).

some people are so naive to believe anything.....
The one that grates on my nerves, that my daughters will be gay because they are being raised by two woman.

Makes me wonder how my straight parents raised a gay daughter.

L
gosh all of those make sense to me, the one that gets me is the outrageous claim that babies are '; born '; homosexual.
True

What do i do about a library that keeps books with false information about islam?

naturally, i want to have these books removed, because they dont help anyone learn the truth about islam... and we really dont need any more false information going arround....

what can i do to get these books removed from the library??What do i do about a library that keeps books with false information about islam?
You should apprach a librarian and explain the situation to them. Offer to donate books that tell the truth about Islam.

Don't burn books. Book burnings symbolise censorship and no freedom of speech.

Good luck and God bless,

newsiesno1What do i do about a library that keeps books with false information about islam?
Library's have a board of directors and a director. You can make your case with these people.

It would be wise to suggest alternative books.

Library's also accept and put into circulation books which were donated. Of course these books should be as close to ';mint-condition'; (as the comic book industry says) as possible. But, there is no guarantee the books will be circulated. Allah subhana wata'ala will be ';looking'; out your intentions, so insha'Allah, you're in a win-win situation.

Donating books is probably the best way to go because the library is a public place.
Well I don't think there is anything you can to remove the book. The best thing you can do is tell people that the book is an inacurrate portrayal of Islam. You could tell them of books that are more correct or perhaps inform them about the flaws of these inaccurate books so that they will not be misinformed.
I think these books are important, why??

Because we can learn more about our religion from these books, how??

Well, when someone spread lies about Islam, you go research and you find out the truth.

Also, these books help us to know how Islam enemies think, and how they convince people to stay away from Islam. Which helps more explaining Islam and knowing why those people hate/dislike Islam.

I personally learned ALOT and my faith grew ALOT after I started reading Islam enemies posts and their claims. I started questioning my faith to know if what they are saying is true or wrong, and understand how and why.
Ask a sheikh to speak to the library management (If it's in a school, then ask him to speak to the principal) and kindly ask them to remove the books that clearly speaks false statements on Islam.

But be sure to replace them with the true books :)
Libraries are places to increase knowledge and wisdom, whether you agree with the books or not. This is a benefit of living in a free society. If this offends you, then stay away from libraries.

I really hope Mohamed You's a troll.
there are tons of books, what i would do, maybe i will add a note next to the false information (on the page) and clarify the mistakes. so when anyone else read it, he or she can see the right information.
Submit a book that you find with truths about Islam and leave a note in the ones that don't. Write a nice letter saying 'I hope you are aware...' or 'These facts are misleading:(and list them)...'
you can't really do anything.inshallah people who are looking to learn about Islam will find other resources and find correct information
It's not false...you just don't like it. There is nothing you can do in a free country. Move to an Islamic country (where the truth and questioning Islam is illegal) maybe.
How about you speak to the staff about the issue and if you have any books which are good recommend them to them.
what do you do about ANOTHER ';niqabi'; that shows off her eyes on the internet and defeats the whole purpose of hijab/modesty?
its a free world you cant do anything about it

they have anti-christanity books there also

thats the result of freedom of press and i dont care to much about those books
you know who burned books he didnt agree with?

hitler

its a library they have all kinds of books get over it
Let people choose truth, if they don't want let them choose evil.
all religion is fiction so how can it be false?
BURN THAT BOOKS. SIMPLE.IT SHOULD BE BURN SO THAT NO ONE CAN STUDY THEM.

If a person places false and slanderous information about a military officer and his family on the ?

Internet in this yahoo questions but is visible on the internet when someone Google the name of the military member... what legal rights does he/she have, and the family members? If a person places false and slanderous information about a military officer and his family on the ?
It's a civil matter and one that would need to be resolved in a lawsuit. To win such a lawsuit, the plaintiff must prove damages, such as financial losses due to such misinformation or lies, or damage to reputation that can be solidly verified as a dollar amount (say, loss of employment due directly and provably to the published misinformation).

If the misinformation does not deal with any specifics, but only generalities (such as military officers kill innocent civilians), then it comes under the classification of opinion and is not considered libelous or slanderous.

If a search engine produces sites where a named private individual is defamed, you (or your attorney) can contact the owner of the domain and request the removal of the offending information. The domain owner is under no obligation to comply, but often a site will do so in order to avoid any litigation. Otherwise, litigation (a lawsuit) will be the only option left.If a person places false and slanderous information about a military officer and his family on the ?
actually the term is libel if it's in print, slander is verbal. Libel is grounds to file a law suit. Consult a lawyer. You may also contact Yahoo saying the information is libelous and ask them to remove it.They may request proof but it doesn't hurt to start with that.
All depends..If a civilian..Not much..Im the offender is military..Alot..

  • Should BBC be banned for reporting false information?

Here's an example. It's one of the headlines on BBC's website:

    Topic: ';US Global dominance set to wane';

    ';US clout will weaken as China and India grow more powerful';

Stop denouncing America. China and India will NEVER become superpowers. America was, is, and always will be the best, period.Should BBC be banned for reporting false information?
I'm still wresting with their report that food prices are dropping when a lot of stuff in our shops is going up in leaps and bounds. So, although I don't know the answer about China, you may well be right. Should BBC be banned for reporting false information?
Sorry my US friend but the headline is true. The US economy is constricting whilst China marches on. It will be the second largest economy with 20 years. India will be in the top 4. Europe will also become closer and stronger and you will have 3 superpowers. The US, China and Europe. India and Russia will not be far behind.

This will be a good thing America has become unchecked over the last 10 years it ignores the UN, it is responsible for the Global credit crunch because it controls most of the money. It is the biggest polluter. I realise they are all its bad points and it does have plenty of good points but 350 million people cannot dictate who over 6 billion live
The US media is so heavily influenced by politics and big business, it is a nice change to have someone report the news as they see it.

Naturally, the BBC is biased in it's own way, but they are known to report things fairly accurately without using the AP as it's only source.

Yes, the US is a superpower, but don't think for a second that the US is the only big kid on the block. Japan? China? Russia? They are not just pesky up-and-comers - they are the ones that own most of the national debt of the US.
The media makes false reports all the time. Originally I liked BBC news, but that was more than a year ago. Just change the channel to a news station you prefer, luckily we live in countries where we can choose the news we prefer to watch instead of having it chosen for us.

Unfortunately, India and China will be the next superpowers unless we stop exporting our jobs over there. The past twenty years has been the greatest transfer of wealth from the US to China, it's time to wake up and realize we need to stop sending our money oversees.
America won't be the dominant world power for much longer. It has to learn that there are other players on the scene that one day in the not too distant future, will have more money, bigger and better equipped armies, with more arms. China already dominates the world economically, it sells more goods to the rest of the world than any other nation on the planet. I don't care for them, on matters of justice and imprisonment of dissenters, but nor indeed America if it continues with its policy of we know best democracy. George W is the reason much of the world is in a mess, with instability in the middle east and a west thats increasingly looking fragile. The knock on effect of the housing bust has come from the US, and you are in debt up to your eyeballs, to the saudi's, and others, so perhaps its time for Obama when he finally comes to office to start making peace and not war, to think that america as a super power has had its day in the sun.

You probably won't agree or like what i have to say, but there you are.
I think the BBC is merely stating facts. China and India are huge and growing on a daily basis. You are perfectly entitled to believe that America is the best, but I have to ask - the best at what? Again facts would indicate that things are not going too well on your side of the Atlantic! That is not to say that things on this side of the pond are any better, but which country started the economic downturn?
If we banned broadcasting networks for reporting false info, we'd have no more media. Unfortunately China and India are becoming much more powerful relative to US. Our physical infrastructure is failing, what we have left of an economy is rigamortis, just look at the currency situation:

    http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/conver鈥?/a>

Plus China has been funded by capitolism for the last few decades, and them and their asian buddies (Russia, Japan, India) are all constructing new infrastructure, reconsolidating their currencies, and upgrading their military.
i dont agree with you that america is the best, not by a long shot. but with regard to the news you should take a lot of what you read with a pinch of salt, it is all gross exaggerations and half truths.

I think your wrong on the china not becoming a superpower front, they have enough man power to wipe us all out so be nice x
yes they will be superpowers so just deal with it. just because the Us wont be the only superpower if it remains one doesnt mean your country will stop achieving things. and as far as im concerned the bbc reports a lot more truth than the news outlet of your choice which im 100% sure is fox news. and by the way what theyre reporting isnt denouncing its stating opinion.
Someone isn't paying attention in History Class. In truth, America seems to be following a pattern similar to all previous major world empires.

In other words, we are nearing the end of our reign. And judging by the path we are taking and how our leaders are attempting to get out of it, I don't think its avoidable anymore.

They are making the exact same mistakes that Great Britain did, that Rome did, that Greece did, and so on down the line.
That story is in all the news feeds now. They didn't make it up, it's news, even if you'd rather it wasn't.

I'd be curious how you were planning on getting them banned, and from what. I think you can probably buy a filter for your computer so you can keep them out of your household.
The USA has dominated for so long. It's lonely out there, I say. It's about time somebody else share the burden. Since we cannot count on the Europeans, why not give India and China a try? Having said that, we are still going to be a big shot, just not the one and only. Cheers.
Considering the BBC is located in Great Britain, where the US has no jurisdiction, I don't think it will happen no matter how hard you try. Nor do I think it should. Only through criticism can we keep America honest. Sure other countries are much worse than the US, but they aren't claiming to be the best country ever.
YES, another example about a year ago the queen went mad when the BBC edited a video of a photo shoot she went for to make her out to be moaning and storming out of the shoot!

When in fact it was her just going into it lol
    Awww !

What's the matter ? Have you suddenly realised 'Planet America' aint so powerful any more ? Don't forget - your time-zones (and those in the rest of the world) are set in relation to the time in Greenwich, ENGLAND !
I don't agree with your last statement and America being the best, sounds like a 2 year olds statement.

But i do agree that the BBC is anti-american.
    You idiot.

BBC is reporting on a US Government report projecting what may happen in 25 years. See American sources below.
think you need to check your facts before you swallow another quart with your beef jerky

never knew trailers could get internet
What a delusional little mind you have
There is a saying that what goes up must come down. America has peaked, hold on tight.
you keep believing that if it will make you sleep good at night.

Escort service operator gave me false information on the girl&the cost, can i get my$ back?fraud?flse advrtzng?

can i get my money back, does this false information constitute fruad( defintion) or false advertizing please helpEscort service operator gave me false information on the girl%26amp;the cost, can i get my$ back?fraud?flse advrtzng?
It depends on what services were to be provided. If they agreed to send an ';escort'; to perform sexual acts, you are probably SOL, because, in general, contracts for the performance of illegal activities are unenforceable.

But whether the activities to be performed were legal or illegal, you should not expect to be able to get anything back without a lawsuit. If you plan on just asking them nicely to refund your money, they will almost certainly just laugh.Escort service operator gave me false information on the girl%26amp;the cost, can i get my$ back?fraud?flse advrtzng?
Escort services assume that clients will never sue for false advertising. There are few men who will expose their identity publicly, and fewer yet who will have documented the false advertising.

If you have the evidence to go before a court, you can sue, but remember that what you are giving the escort service is low cost publicity. Even if they lose they win.
umm not sure about that... i dont think its legal to run a escort service is it??? therefor you cant take legal action and i doubt its worth the humiliation of the whole thing.
I bet you'd be the guy that would sue someone if you slipped on ice while robbing their house.

Does the Associated Press report false information?

Recently the AP reported false support for the health care but this latest report seems the most egregious. While NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, USA Today, Fox %26amp; MSNBC is reporting Obama's popularity had dropped to the lowest of any president at this point in his presidency, the AP is reporting something entirely different.

    The AP headline link at Yahoo says, ';Poll shows Obama's popularity holding steady at 56 percent'; and the AP article says, ';The latest Associated Press-Gfk poll shows the president's popularity holding steady, with 56 percent of those polled approving of the way he's taking care of the country's business.';

    See this AP Poll:

However, here is what the rest of the media is reporting:

You can not trust the news ..Does the Associated Press report false information?
As in any type of news gathering, there will be errors. But with polling, it depends on what service is being used in the report and the questions posed to respondents. Remember that AP is a wire service, with its stories being used by other media outlets, so the polling data may be its own and not tied into the material used by TV networks and/or newspapers.
good for economy they are not pirating each other data , but conducting 'INDEPENDENT ' surveys to reach conclusions
    All the time.
